Choose some of these events in the Camden area
Camden is a place where there is a lot going on for the months of July, August and September 2019.

This list will help you decide which functions you wish to attend in this area.

1. Reflecting Community Art Workshop
When: 10th July from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm
Where: Camden Civic Centre, Ferguson Gallery
Join Danielle Sullivan in the making of a community art piece that shows unity, connection and reconciliation 'Closing the Gap'.

Artist Danielle will lead the workshop inviting participants to share their story, as well as painting a positive interpretation of themselves on a puzzle piece to be shared with the community for years to come. Each separate puzzle piece represents a silhouette of a face. The artwork will be part of the Camden Art Prize Collection within Camden Civic Centre.



2. Indigenous Rock Painting with Gina Glover
When: 10th July
Where: Camden Civic Centre, Undercroft
School Holiday Workshop - Indigenous rock painting with Gina Glover to celebrate NAIDOC in Camden

Maximum of 20 children per session and sessions as follows:
Session 1 - 11.00 am for all ages
Session 2 - 3.00 pm for all ages



3. Fire & Fury Combined Band Concert
When: 13th July at 7 pm
Where: Camden Civic Centre, Macarthur Auditorium
Fire and Fury with the combined bands of Fire and Rescue NSW Band and Camden Community Bands. This will be an evening of hits, favourites and loads of fun with two fantastic bands. All proceeds from this go to Camden Community Band.



4. The Enchanted Winter Ball
When: 20th July
Where: Camden Civic Centre, Auditorium
This is your chance to go to a royal ball as you see in a fairy tale! You will join 30 characters for the most magical evening of musical entertainment, fun games, dance, bingo, prizes, goodie bags and more!

Children will learn about friendship and how to help the environment. Part of the profits will go towards the reefs.



5. Camden Country Quilters 30th Annual Exhibition
When: 27th July from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm
Where: Camden Civic Centre
This is the 30th annual Camden Exhibition with stalls, cafe, member's sales table, raffle quilt and quilt display.



6. Camden Antiques & Makers Fair
When: 3rd and 4th August from 10 am to 5 pm
Where: Camden Civic Centre, Auditorium
Camden Civic Centre presents the annual Camden Antiques & Collectables Fair which is in its 33rd year. It is Macarthur's largest Antiques and Collectables show. There will be renowned antique dealers as well as new exhibitors. There will be a huge and excellent variety of quality items including jewellery, artefacts, precious gemstones, china, porcelain, literature, furniture, linen and collectables.



7. Kitty Flanagan - Smashing
When: 17th August from 8 pm
Where: Camden Civic Centre, Auditorium
Kitty Flanagan is the comedian who is often on television and she is zany and extremely funny! Everything is getting smashed including love songs, sex, algorithms, chimps, clowns and psychics. Nothing is safe when Kitty gets on the stage. Kitty Flanagan is one of Australia's best-known comedians. She has played all over the world and now tours Australia regularly.



8. Bubs to Tweens Indoor Market
When: 18th August from 9 am to 12 noon
Where: Camden Civic Centre, Auditorium
Bubs to Tweens indoor market is for children ages 0 to 12 years. There will be free entertainment for the children and many stalls selling a large range of children's clothing.



9. Your Next Step Dance Challenge
When: 28th August from 9 am to 3 pm
Where: Camden Civic Centre, Auditorium



10. In The Zone
When: 13th September from 7 pm to 7.45 pm
Where: Camden Civic Centre, Auditorium
Contemporary dance meets gaming technology in this new work by Shaun Parker & Company. This is a world premiere and to celebrate, admission is free! IN THE ZONE features new technology called AirSticks.
