There are plenty of courses to take at Red Hill
Red Hill is a small rural community, which is located in the Mornington Peninsula. This is about an hour's drive south of Melbourne and it is in the Shire of Mornington Peninsula. The population forecast for this year is around 164,200.

This list is all the events on at the Green Olive at Red Hill, 1180 Mornington Flinders Road, Main Ridge. The events are mainly for children but there are also a few for adults.

Green Olive at Red Hill is a whole farm experience. Here they grow olives, grapes, herbs and vegetables in the lovely wine-growing region of the Mornington Peninsula.

They also have sheep, chickens and pigs, and use fresh produce from local farmers to create a range of tapas and wine.

School Holidays - Meet the Farm
This will be held on 9th July at 10.00 am.

It is for children to have fun and feed the chicken and ducks, collect the eggs, pat Gracie the pony, and play with the Pisa, who is the friendly Maremma dog.

You will need to wear gumboots for this event, and register your interest at their Facebook page.

A gold coin donation is requested to support their major charity: Riding for the Disabled, Mornington Peninsula.

Pizza Making Fun
This will be held on 5th and 12th July, 2018 at 10.00 am.

If your children love pizza, here they can have a demonstration of how to make a pizza base! Then they will be able to choose the toppings to create their very own yummy pizza.

They will never have to eat things they do not like as they can choose all their favourite ingredients, including herbs and goodies from the garden!

The chefs will then cook the pizza for all to enjoy.

This activity is $12 per child, and you can pay on the day.

School Holidays - Farm Art
This will be held on 10th July at 10.00 am.

For this event, children will forage around the farm to collect art tools, and then make their own pieces of art!

Children are provided with all art materials, including paints, so it would be a good idea to wear work clothes.

When the artwork is complete the children can have a delicious hot chocolate!

This activity is $12 per child and you can pay on the day.

Cup Cake Decorating
This will be held on 11th July, at 10.00 am.

If you are looking for something for your children to do over the school holidays, then why not join in this cupcake decorating class!

The materials including the cupcakes and decorations are provided. Once you have finished decorating your cake, you can have a cup of hot chocolate while eating your deliciously decorated cupcake!

Children can then have a run on the farm or a jump on the trampoline.

This activity is $12 per child and you can pay on the day.

Pasta Making Cooking Experience
This is on 7th July at 8.50 am.

Pasta is so popular with both young and old people alike. This course is about everything pasta.

You will learn about the types of flour used in pasta dough making, the equipment you will need, and ingredients used in filled pastas such as tortellini.

You will be shown how to mix the ingredients and then knead, rest, roll and cut the dough to whatever shape you wish. This is a "hands-on, step by step class" which will also cover pasta fillings that you can hand pick from the farm garden.

You will also learn about all different olive oil and how to best use this great ingredient in your pasta, and other cooking.

Once the cooking is finished, you can relax and admire the view of the vineyard, kitchen garden and ducks on the dam whilst enjoying the food that you have just made, with a glass of Kelpie Bridge wine.

There are a few things you need to read about:

You will need to arrive for course registration at 8.50 am
The course commences at 9.00 am and finishes at 12 noon, followed by a wine tasting and lunch
You will be supplied with notes, chef's apron and all equipment * You are asked to bring a cooler bag to take fresh produce home

Woodfired Pizza making
This will be held on 25th August, 2018, at 8.50 am till 12 noon and is for adults.

This will teach you how to use a pizza oven, baking tips and what equipment to use to make the perfect wood-fired pizza.

You will also learn how to finish off your pizza to ensure you have the most delicious pizza ready to serve.
