South Australia is proudly putting on a whole range of events this Easter, and with so much to do, you'll forget about all those yummy hot cross buns and Easter Eggs just waiting to be eaten!

The Easter Bunny is going to be busy, making appearances all over the State and making sure that everyone is enjoying themselves over the long weekend. Many of the events are free, and with so much for families, it will be hard to decide what and what not to do!

Adelaide International Kite Festival

Show off your kite flying skills (or maybe try and improve if you're anything like me) at this popular event on Semaphore Beach. Watch in ore as professionals take gigantic blue whales, octopuses. puppies and uniquely shaped kites into the sky and put on a great display. It's not just about the kite flying though, there will also be over 30 marketplace stalls offering a range of goodies, a visit from the Easter Bunny and the Semaphore Amusement Park will also be open during the event.

Kidz Gigantic Day Out

Enjoy the whole day at the Adelaide Convention Centre newest event for Easter with 4 different interactive play zones to choose from including play, learn, build, discover or why not explore all 4. The event also includes the popular Brick-a-laide's, Adelaide's favourite LEGO fan event and unlike previous events, there are no restricted session times so you can enjoy the fun all day.

Cirque Africa 2.0

Achieving numerous 5-star reviews and being a sold-out debut season at last years Fringe, Cirque Africa is back, and promises to be bigger and better than before. Enjoy a show of African culture as it takes you through an amazing story with professional performing artists having you sit on the edge of your seat in anticipation of their next move. Don't miss this family event, as it will be sure to be another sellout.

Blenheim Music and Camping Festival

Kick off the weekend in the gorgeous Clare valley, enjoying the stunning views whilst listening to some awesome live music and soaking up the atmosphere. The festival is growing each year, and the camping is also one of the main attractions. You can take your own gear along, or why not do it in style in one of their glamping tents and live in luxury for a couple of days!

Glen Ewin Estate Easter Sunday Family Fun Day

This 1 day event will be all about Easter fun with an Easter egg hunt (starts at 10:30am), jumping castle, face painting, bubble blowing, eggs and spoon races along with Easter cocktails, food stalls, a wine bar and live music all day.

Meadows Easter Fair

This 4 day event burrowed within the Adelaide Hills is celebrating its 20th year of Easter Fairs. With over 100 stalls of crafts, collectables, produce and much more, you can spend hours wandering around this small country town with so much on offer. There will be face painting, a jumping castle and a native animal nursery for children to enjoy and with free admission, it's sure to be a great family day out.

Afternoon Delights at Shottesbrooke

Enjoy a lazy afternoon on Easter Sunday at Shottesbrooke Afternoon Delights with live music, wine, food trucks and family fun. Kids Easter activities include face painting and sandpits, whilst the acoustic background allows everyone to relax and enjoy the beautiful and charming cellar door and vineyards.

Melba's Easter Weekend

Melba's Chocolate Factory is celebrating every day over the Easter weekend with fun for the whole family including giant live chocolate sculpting, free face painting and a colouring-in competition. Wander through the factory, taking in all the delights on offer, then enjoy the range of coffees, hot chocolates, milkshakes, ice creams, chocolates and lollies from their café, or enjoy one of Maxine's Baked Potatoes who will be setting up over the weekend.

Oakbank Racing Carnival

Oakbank racing over the Easter weekend is famous for being one of South Australia's premier social and sporting events. With races on Easter Saturday and Monday, this family event will have loads of activities and entertainment for the kids, including rides, amusements, an animal petting zoo, face painting and roving entertainers. Take along a picnic, or enjoy one of the hospitality packages whilst soaking up the unique country racing atmosphere.

Hill Livestock Clare Easter Races

American Express Openair Cinema

The American Express Openair Cinema in Glenelg have got some great kids movies on over the long weekend. On Friday, 'Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle' is showing, Saturday features 'Ferdinand' and Sunday is showing the Disney Pixar film 'Coco' . The Openair Cinema is a great experience for all the family to enjoy, and the location is great with Glenelg Beach and it's unique foreshore playspace right next to the cinema venue.

Whyalla uneARTh Festival

Why should only Adelaide get all the Fringe fun? Whyalla's uneARTh Festival is back for a second year after a great success in 2017 and is a great family event with acts and activities lined up over the 2 days and evenings.
