Easter is a time when many people do not have to work, so they have four days to spend with their family.

This is a list of activities where you can go with or without children.

1. EASTER AFTERNOON TEA
The Treasury Lounge and Bar will be serving some decadent Easter treats in a very special Afternoon Tea which will be held from 30th March to 2nd April, 2018 and sittings will be from 2.00 pm.

This function will highlight Western Australia's iconic farmers and producers with a "chocolate twist".

You will be able to have a Classic Afternoon Tea, or for something a little more indulgent, try the Signature Afternoon Tea with a glass of sparkling wine or champagne.

This will be served with JING tea or Mano a Mano coffee and will cost $50 per person

Signature Afternoon Tea
This one will be served with tea or coffee, and a glass of Taittinger Rosé Non-Vintage and will cost $75 per person.

Children are welcome and the cost is $45 per child (under 12).

You must make a reservation for this event at least 24 hours before the function, and you can do this at this link.

You could also extend this offer to include overnight accommodation at Como The Treasury by checking out this link, or for more information on the Easter Afternoon Tea, check out this site.

2. HOPPY EASTER**
This event will celebrate Easter with a long weekend of chocolate and beer at Petition Beer Corner. What a wonderful combination and one I have not heard of before, and well worth trying.

There will be from 'chocolate stouts' and raspberries (a chocolate favourite), to fluffy brews (like bunnies fur) and beer flavoured chocolate truffles from Sue Lewis Chocolatier!

Sue Lewis has 20 years of experience and learned this trade from master chocolatier Paul Young in London. Sue makes the most incredible chocolate and this will provide you with an unforgettable chocolate experience.

And the beer needs no introduction!

This will be held at the Petition Beer Corner, which is a hub of life and activity set within iconic heritage buildings, on 28th March until 2nd April, 2018, with daily sessions.

You can contact them by calling 8 6168 7773, or check out their website.

3. EASTER FUN MORNING CRUISE**
And now for something slightly different over the Easter break. Why not go on a fun morning cruise! It will be held on Sunday 1st April, 2018, and will depart Perth at 10:00 am, (boarding 9:45 am) and return at 12:00 noon.

It is a family event and you will have a fun morning with your children on this Easter Cruise. You will get to see the sights of the Swan River as you cruise the calm waters between Perth and Fremantle, and while relaxing in this way, you will be served with delicious hot cross buns, breakfast pastries, fruit platters, and tea, coffee, orange and apple juice.

There are also plenty of activities for the children, and some of these are:

  • face painting
  • balloon twisting
  • egg colouring station
  • the Easter Bunny will even be on board to entertain and delight

  • There will also be a door prize of a fabulous chocolate hamper valued at $85.00, and as the saying goes, you gotta be in it to win it.

    Prices are as follows:
    Adults $49.00
    Children (4-12 yrs) $29.00
    Family (2 ad, 2 ch) $120.00
    Infant Free
Price is for 1st April 2018 only, and if gluten-free food is required, please advise when booking.

You can see more about this cruise here and for bookings, click on this link.

    4. ADVENTURE WORLD**
You can spend Good Friday with the children at Adventure World where you can start off the Easter long weekend with their annual Good Friday event.

You will get unlimited use of all of the park's rides and attractions, and there will be an animal nursery, pony and camel rides, face painting, family entertainment, Dragon's Kingdom's own Yarli, Yarlotte and Flossy, and of course, the annual park-wide Easter egg hunt.

Once you arrive, keep a look out for Easter Egg tokens throughout the park. These tokens are small cards that say 'Winner', and if you are lucky enough to find one, bring your token to the Guest Services desk at 12 noon sharp to claim your prize.

This will all be held on Good Friday, 30th March from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm at Adventure World, 351 Progress Dr, Bibra Lake, with tickets costing from $48.

    5. OUT OF TOWN EVENTS**
If you want to get away for the long weekend of Easter, there are several fantastic festivals in the South of Perth.

Check out the Dwellingup Pumpkin Festival which is something very different.

Or plan your weekend at the amazing Blazing Swan - Jilakin Rock City Experience.

Whatever you choose to do, make sure you take care and drive safely.
