For some people, walking in a department store or boutique and buying a pair of jeans just doesn't "get it." Either they are dedicated to one particular brand that can only be found at a few places, or they can only find their size as certain places. For them, denim stores are the obvious choice.
Luckily, there are several of these types of stores to choose from, located all over the City. You can most likely find one that you'll call your favorite.
Diesel" is a specific brand name of denim, so if this is the only type of denim you wear; this is the store for you. The store sells jeans, dresses, vests, and shirts for men and women, as well as shoes and accessories. The accessories include watches, bicycles (yep, bicycles!) and cologne. Talk about an eclectic store!
Do you wear a rather "unusual" size of jean (for example, 00 or 16?) If so, then you know how hard it can be to find jeans in your size. Now, that's no longer a problem. Just visit True Boutique to find different brands of jeans (Beija-Flor and James are just a couple) in your size. And, don't worry if they're too long; the on-premise tailor will hem them while you wait.
This is not your typical denim store. This is actually a garment company. You literally choose your material, the type of clothing item (jeans, dress, blouse, jacket, etc.) you want, and the accessories—buttons, zippers, belts, logos, designs, or whatever—that you want on your clothing, and leave the rest to the tailors. Consider this a "build-your-own jeans" store. What could be more fun or original than that?
No matter where you are in New York City, you're going to be close to OMG, The Jeans Store. And, no matter which store you go into, you're going to find a huge selection of brand names. Levi's, Calvin Klein, Puma, Nike, Wrangler, and Lee are just a few of the ones you'll see. The "flagship" store is at 408 Broadway. This is the largest of the ten locations, so you definitely want to check it out.
