1. EPICURE Gingerbread Village
View recognisable landmarks from around Melbourne, all handmade from gingerbread! Favourites include Melbourne Cricket Ground, Luna Park, Flemington Racetrack, and the Melbourne Town Hall. This year's newest addition The Grand Prix circuit. Running at Melbourne Town Hall from December 1st through to December 24th.Opening hours:December 1st -10th: 10:00am to 6:00pm.December 11th- 24th: 10:00am to 8:30pm.Entry by gold coin donation, with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish® Australia. 2. Ben and Jerry's Openair Cinema
Live local bands, movie under the stars, and free ice-cream and give-aways on Ice-cream Sundaes! Ben & Jerry's Openair cinema is back in St Kilda, running nightly from November 29th until December 20th.

Bring your own picnic and blanket, or hire a deck chair, bean lounger and blankets when you get there. Drinks and food available for purchase.

Tickets at the gate start from $24 ($20 concession), for General Admission to the Lawn, and from $19 ($15 concession) online.

3. Twilight Markets
Enjoy Christmas shopping for hand-crafted local quality produce along with a great night of entertainment, food and drink! Wednesdays head to QVM Summer Night Market and visit Blender Lane Night Market only a short stroll away along Franklin Street; and on Thursdays head to St Kilda for a Twilight Market with a sea breeze. Take along friends and family to these free, fun, outdoor markets where you are likely to pick up a few treats for yourself! 4. Moonlight Cinema
Pack a picnic and head to the Royal Botanical Gardens to enjoy movies under the moonlight. Running from 3rd December through to Sunday 27th March 2016.Prefer to eat out? A variety of street food options, snacks and beverages are available from the LA Style Food Truck, candy bar and fully licensed bar.Tickets from $19 ($16.50 concession) are best purchased online, and in advance. December-February, gates open at 7pm and screenings start at approximately 8.30pm. March, gates open at 6.30pm and screenings start at approximately 8.00pm. 5. Boxing Day Test
Join the crowds on December 26th, to watch Australia and West Indies play day 1 in the three match Commonwealth Bank Test series, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Tickets from $40 ($24 concession, $13 children), gates open from 9:00am, play starts at 10.30am. Book early!
