Full of lights, laughter, gifts and delicacies, Christmas brings brightness in everybody's life. Some plan ahead for outings during holidays while some live on spontaneity. A last minute vacation planning is not only exhaustive on the pocket but also for the people.
How about doing something different this time. That sport or dance you always wanted to try. That old friend you wanted to meet. How about spending some time close to nature? How about sharing your happiness with the less fortunate?
There are many tour operators selling one or two day tours. Drive your way around the Great Ocean Road. Catch on a helicopter ride for a breath taking view of the 12 apostles. Spend your evening with the lovely fairy penguins and seals on Philip Island.
If you like hiking, try the Grampian National Park. Options are numerous and so are tour providers. Search online for a good deal.

Love Thy City All of us travel around the city for work, shopping, eating out, leisure, but Melbourne City gets a different grandeur 29th November onwards. Hop on to the free City Circle Tram or the Melbourne visitor shuttle (for a nominal 5$ ticket) or just travel on foot.
Enjoy the celebrations at Federation Square, Town Hall, Bourke Street Mall, Queen Victoria Market, Docklands. Sing carols and get your picture clicked with Santa at Fed Square or kiss your sweetheart on the Mistletoe bridge. Travel through the city laneways, Chinatown, Greek Precinct, Lygon Street; each has its own Christmas sparkle to add and lots of delicacies to offer.
How about viewing your city from the skies. Itching for an adventure? Book a hot air balloon sunrise package or a helicopter dusk package. Surely that would give a different perspective to see your city.
Full year round you have slogged through office work, project deadlines and somewhere compromised your family time.
Spend time with your parents, grand parents. Give a romantic surprise to your partner. There are many options around for kids activities.
Go out with friends. Just put on your thinking cap and you'll realise that options are many. You don't always have to spend money to make your family happy. Lots of love always does the trick.
Christmas spirit in the air makes everyone happy. But what about the less fortunate? The ones in orphanage or old age homes waiting to experience a gesture of kindness. Or the terminally ill, battling to stay alive.
Why not make their lives bit easier? Donate at these institutions. You can take some gifts to an orphanage. Spend some time with the seniors. Charity need not always be in the form of money. A small step towards social service is a big leap towards humanity.
