See vintage cars, bikes, hot rods and all motor-sport events
If you enjoy racing cars, looking at old cars, bikes, hot rods or similar events, then this list will help you decide which ones you would like to attend. If you have never been to one of these events, why not go to one or two as they are exciting and often fascinating! They are on from August to November 2018.

1. Shannons Classics on the Parkfront
When: 12th August, from 8 am to 3 pm

Here you can watch all the action of Targawest city stage. There will be one of the year's coolest car displays. The display is being held in conjunction with the VSCC Classic Sprints as part of the Quit Targa West Tarmac Rally.

In the morning, there will be the Targa City Sprint along Riverside Drive. In the afternoon, there will be the excitement of City of Perth Special Stage.

The display will be located on the grass area between Riverside Drive and the bike path beside the Swan River.

2. Albany Show and Shine
When: 22nd to 23rd September, from 8 am to 6 pm

Street Machine Owners are shining their cars and tuning the engines for the Albany Show & Shine. The Great Southern Street Machine Association will host its Annual Car Show and entries are open to all who are interested in showing off their vehicles. This will be a fun day for all members of the family, and there will be an exhibition of dozens of exciting street vehicles.

Trade stalls will include Hot Rod Memorabilia. badged clothing and T-shirts, car parts and batteries. There will also be food outlets, a sausage sizzle, refreshments, a bouncy castle and face painting.

This event is held at 16 Ranford Road.

3. Southern Cross Car & Bike Show
When: 23rd September. from 10 am to 4 pm

This show has vintage to modern vehicles. There will be stalls and a swap meet, as well as FREE children's entertainment.

There will be a two-course dinner at 6 pm in the Complex Lounge. Trophy presentation will be on at 7 pm.

4. Cunderdin Hot Rod Day
When: 20th to 21st October, from 11 am and 1 pm

The Cunderdin 100 Mile Club Inc. presents its second annual Cunderdin Hot Rod & Classic Car Show. Here they will display all Hot Rods and Steel Bumper Classic Cars prior to 1985.

Food stalls are available and children enter FREE.

This two-day event starts off on Saturday for the Show & Shine. Following that, there is a tour of picker Ray's property. Then you can partake in a country roast dinner with full bar facilities and a live band during the afternoon and evening.

Sunday will be an airfield experience on the World War 2 built airstrip from 1941. Glider flights will be available on the day, provided by the Gliding Club of WA.

5. Ignition South West Car Show
When: 28th October, from 10 am to 3 pm

This car and bike show will be raising money for sick children in the south west region.

The show is a family orientated event with a children's play area including bouncy castles and rides. They usually get over 450 vehicles of all vintages, shapes, styles and sizes. Families bring cars from as far away as Albany, Kalgoorlie and Geraldton and, of course, Perth.

It will be held at the Leschenault Pavilion, Peter Anderson Drive, Australind.

6. German Car Day
When: 28th October, from 7.30 am to 3 pm

German Car Day is A Drive And Display Event supported by all The German Car Clubs - Mercedes Benz, Porsche, BMW, Audi And Volkswagen. The funds raised go to the Wheels For Hope Charity.

This will be held at Perry Lakes Reserve, Whitfeld Terrace

7. West Coast Nats [WA]
When: 2nd and 3rd November, from 8 am to 10 pm

There will be burnouts, Cruise The Track, Powerskids and the Tip-in Competition.

It will be a great two days of "tyre destruction" and will be held at Barbagello Raceway, Wattle Ave E, Neerabup.

8. The South West Vintage Fest [WA]
When: 10th November, from 10 am to 10 pm

This will be in the heritage listed hotel and garden of Caves House. At this event, there will be vintage market stalls, classic car show, free vintage and collectable valuations, beach bombshell pageant, and the best beard and moustache.

It will be a family-friendly day with live music.

It will be held at Caves House Hotel​, 18 Yallingup Beach Road, Dunsborough.

9. GM Owners Day
When: 18th November, from 9.30 am to 4 pm

General Motors Owners Day (GMOD) is Western Australia's premier event for all makes and models of vehicles produced under the General Motors banner.

It is held every two years and since its inception in 1988, the event has raised in excess of $210,000.00 for the non-government funded charity Association for Advancement of Brain Injured Children (AABIC).

It is organised by volunteers from both the WA Holden Car Club and the Chevrolet Club of WA. All proceeds from the event are donated to AABIC who work towards providing emotional and financial support for brain injured children, their families and carers.

There will be children's activities, market stalls and trade stalls as well as an oval full of GM vehicles!

It will be held at 740 Old Perth Rd, Bassendean.

10. West Coast Dream Machines Car Show & Fete
When: 25th November, from 10 am to 4 pm

Join in to celebrate Cooloongup Primary Schools 40th year Anniversary with West Coast Dream Machines car show and fete.

This fun family day will have something for all ages and entry is by gold coin donation.

Some of the things at this Show include:
- Door Prize
- Car/Bike Show
- Performances from students and the community
- Experience the thrill of a VW Trike Ride
- Karts
- Bouncy castles
- Slides
- Face Painting
- Stallholders with a wide range of products
- A variety of food and beverages
- Raffles
- A visit From Emergency services
- Trophies for various categories
- And more

This event will raise funds for our children's future.

It will be held at Cooloongup Primary School, 21 Westerly Way, Cooloongup.
