In the leafy suburb of Leederville, there are many breakfast spots and it can often be hard to choose which one you should go to.
If you have not ventured to Leederville for breakfast, make sure you visit over the holidays as there are lots of shops and a few patisseries to have a peak at.

Here's my list:

1. Duende
This is my favourite breakfast spot in Leederville! With indoor and our seating, Duende will always find you a table. Duende is known for their tapas and are sometimes overlooked when it comes to breakfast.

The menu is diverse and I would be shocked to hear a bad review of this establishment. On my trip, we ordered the Eggs Bene and the Doughnut Balls. We also ordered two coffees to accompany breakfast.

Our breakfasts were deliciously flawless and I would highly recommend either dish. The Eggs Bene had two perfectly poached eggs on a tasty potato fritter. There were fresh slices of salmon and a light hollandaise to finish the dish. The Doughnut Balls are the perfect dish for those of you with a sweet tooth. The doughnuts themselves were light and fluffy and accompanied by more sweet treats.

2. Cranked
Cranked is set in a great location in Leederville, very close to parking. It is also in front of the park so it is a great place to grab a coffee and let the kids play in the park.

There is a lot of shaded outdoor seating at Cranked and service is prompt.

There are a lot of choices on this menu but I veered off my usual breakfsst course and ordered the Buttermilk Blueberry Pancakes. I was very excited when I received this dish! The pancakes were large and fluffy and full of blueberries...my favourite! They were accompanied by mascarpone cheese, fresh strawberries and I asked for the maple syrup on the side. The other dish that came to our table was the Crank Addict. The dish was packed with a great portion of spicy, but not too spicy, chorizo. The eggs were cooked perfectly and completed the dish.

3. Foam
Foam is the smallest of all the cafes but with quick service and turnover of tables, you won't have to wait long for a table.
We decided to order the Canadian Style Pancakes and the Breakfast Brushetta with Eggs. Our food was accompanied by two coffees of course.

The pancakes were a massive portion and very much value for money. They were dressed with bacon and a side of maple syrup. The breakfast bruschetta was equally delicious and maybe the healthier option. I loved the roasted capsicum on the dish and that's not something often seen on a bruschetta dish.

So there you have it, three great breakfast spots to check out over the holidays in our beautiful suburb of Leederville!
