This August Bathurst and its surrounds will be waving goodbye to the winter blues with fun and entertaining events for all ages and interests.
The list below features Free & Ticketed Events:
1. Macquarie Riverside Market
When: 4 August 2018: 9am-1pm
Where: Lions Berry Park, Bathurst
Cost: Free
Details: These markets will feature stalls selling second-hand books, jewellery, baked goodies, preserves, bric-a-brac, woodwork, art & craft stalls and more.

2. Bathurst's Arts Trail
When: 4 August 2018: 10am-4pm
Where: Various locations across Bathurst and surrounds
Cost: Free
Details: Pick up a map from the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre and follow the paths to galleries and studios where you will find painters, potters, glass artists, sculptors and printmakers as they showcase their talent in town and country studios and galleries.

3.Turon Technology Museum Tour Event
When: 18 August 2018: 10am-4pm
Where: Turon Technology Museum, 5833 Sofala Rd, Sofala
Cost: Adults: $8pp, Children under 12yrs: Free & Family: $24
Details: This event will feature steam and internal combustion engines c1850 to 1950. There will be a guided tour around the exhibits then opportunities to wander at your leisure.

4. Bathurst Miniature Railway
When: 19 August 2018: 11am-3pm
Where: John Matthews Sporting Complex, Durham St, Bathurst
Cost: $2 per ride
Details: Pack a picnic and take the kids to the miniature railway for a fun day out with a few rides on the working scale model trains.

5. Art in the Park
When: 19 August 2018: 2pm-4pm
Where: Machattie Park, William, Keppel & George Streets, Bathurst
Cost: Free
Details: This event will feature a demonstration and informal instructions on how to draw or paint in the park! The event is suited for all ages and children under 15yrs need to be accompanied by an adult. Bring your own materials.

6. Bathurst Farmers Markets
When: 25 August 2018: 8am-12pm
Where: Bathurst Showground, Bathurst
Cost: Gold coin donation.
Details: Meet the growers, taste their produce and pick up fresh produce too at these markets. The markets will feature fresh seasonal produce from farmers, boutique cordials, free range poultry and eggs, meats, gourmet pies, honey and preserves, mustards, plants, shrubs and flowers, fruit and vegetable stalls and more.
