This August Auckland will be featuring an array of free & ticketed events for all ages and interests to enjoy.

The list below features fun and entertaining events:

1. A Taste of the Sugar Club
When: 1 August 2018: From 6:30pm
Where: The Sugar Club, 72 Victoria St, West Auckland
Cost: $250pp
Details: This event will feature 5 courses, each inspired by the chefs. Each course will be paired with the perfect wine match. The event will be part of the American Express Restaurant Month. Click here for the website.



2. American Express Restaurant Month Event
When: 1-31 August 2018
Where: Various restaurants across Auckland
Cost: Tickets vary for set menus- see website
Details: This scrumptious foodie and wine event will showcase a month-filled with food & wine! Restaurants across Auckland and surrounds will be hosting set menus (some with matching wines) to celebrate the American Express Restaurant Month. Click here for the website.



3. Hir Comedy Performance
When: 2- 25 August 2018
Where: Herald Theatre, 50 Mayoral Drive, Auckland
Cost: Tickets range from $25-$55pp
Details: This performance will be filled with exquisite intelligent comedy about the messy implications of change. Isaac returns home from a three-year stint in Afghanistan to discover his suburban family engaged in a war of their own. Click here for the website.



4. The Messy Magic Adventure
When: 4 August 2018: From 10:30am
Where: Aotea Centre, 50 Mayoral Drive, Auckland
Cost: Free
Details: This Event will showcase a family-friendly performance filled with plenty of entertainment. Spray and Wipe are two cleaners starting their most exciting job ever, cleaning a magician's house! But when they accidentally let the magic loose, everything goes topsy-turvy. As the house gets messier and messier, Spray and Wipe must get the magic back before the magician returns home! There will also be a workshop for all ages. Click here for the website.



5. Stella Brennan- Object Permanence
When: 5 August 2018- 8 September 2018
Where: Trish Clark Gallery, 1 Bowen Ave, Auckland
Cost: Free
Details: This Exhibition will showcase a solo exhibition of a new body of work by Stella Brennan. With a practice that spans the handmade, new media, curation, installation, social projects and urban design, Stella's work deals above all with navigating the space and time between human objects. 6. I, Will Jones Performance
When: 7-11 August 2018
Where: Basement Theatre, Lower Greys Ave, Auckland
Cost: Tickets range from $16-$22pp
Details: If you could be anyone in the world, who would you be? To 12 year old Eamonn, the answer is obvious: Will Jones, the coolest kid in intermediate. This family-friendly performance is a true-ish story by storyteller-comedian Eamonn Marra about friendship, Animorphs, and becoming the person you want to be. Click here for the website.



7. Sibs Performance
When: 7-11 August 2018
Where: Basement Theatre, Lower Greys Ave, Auckland

8. Fashion Lunch with Yvonne Bennetti
When: 8 August 2018: From 12pm
Where: Soul Bar & Bistro, Lower Hobson St & Customs Street West, Auckland
Cost: $85pp
Details: Part of the American Express Restaurant Month event, the much-loved team at Soul once again bring a touch of fashion to the dining with a line-up featuring Yvonne Bennetti's Summer Collection. The event will showcase a delicious lunch, a glass of bubbles and a chance to get your fashion fix. 9. Step Up Sky Tower Stair Challenge

Details: This fundraising event will support Kiwis living with blood cancer. The event will feature a stair challenge on the tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere! 10. Roy Orbison Reborn Tribute Concert

Details: This family-friendly performance will be part of Auckland Live Pick & Mix 2018 and it will feature DJ Spinderella MC, a young Polynesian boy with two evil stepsisters and a wicked stepmother who must complete three dangerous tasks. Click here for the website.



12. Cycle Chic Film Tour
When: 14 & 15 August 2018
Where: Academy Cinemas, 44 Lone St, Auckland

Details: This event's aim is to showcase a captivating selection of short cycling films to inspire, encourage and celebrate women who love to bike. The line-up will include a magical journey of colour and creativity by an artistic mountain biker in Canada, a New Zealand road cyclist who believes in the power of bicycles, an enthralling film set in the big city America on two bad-ass bmxers following their passion, a bicycle store with a unique point of difference and more. 13. Meat- Dance Performance

Details: This contemporary dance performance will be about unwrapping the meat industry and exploring its social and environmental implications. The performance will also offer an immersive and penetrating dive into the unsettling psychology of consumption. Click here for the website.



14. ASB Season of Filthy Business Performance
When: 14-29 August 2018
Where: ASB Waterfront Theatre, 138 Halsey St, Auckland

Details: This performance will be set in East London, 1968. Yetta Solomon is the quintessential refugee who survived the un-survivable, then toiled in sweatshops to make her way in the world. 15. I Ain't Mad At Cha

Where: Basement Theatre, Lower Greys Ave, Auckland

Details: This performance is based in 1999 and Kiwa struggles with the whole "being Maori" thing. Having to face racism on a daily basis, Kiwa's done with being judged-worst of all by his own people. Click here for the website.

Details: This thrilling Irish dance show will feature plenty of feet tapping with this performance. Set in a traditional pun in southern Ireland, Irish Celtic will bring the warmth and conviviality for which Ireland is famed, onto the theatre stage. 17. Harbourside Winter Ball

22. The Golden Pig Show
