There are many fine art galleries in Perth and indeed, in Western Australia. These are my favourites and always have quality artworks. I have included the Perth Art Gallery as that is our main gallery and indeed the largest in Western Australia. There are many others, however, I feel these are the most interesting, diverse and mostly have great talents on display.

1. THE ART GALLERY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA
The Art Gallery of Western Australia was founded in 1895 and is housed in three heritage buildings. It is managed by the Department of Local Government.

The gallery houses the State Art Collection, which includes one of the world's finest collections of Indigenous art, as well as Australian and International art and design. The gallery is visited by approximately 400,000 people annually and generally has a collection of the State's art consisting of over 17,000 works, including up to 3,000 Indigenous works.

2. JAH ROC GALLERY - MARGARET RIVER
This one always has some fascinating pieces, many of which are by local artists. Margaret River, is of course, home to our wineries however, in the last 20 or so years, there have been many artists of all types move down to this idyllic spot down south.

It is one of the finest art galleries in the South West and is my favourite one in Western Australia! It is a diverse gallery full of fascinating paintings, and they often show around 200 paintings at a time. Few modern art galleries in Australia display the artistic talent which is on show at Jahroc Galleries where they have "one-off" artworks from Australian artists.
