The autumn school holidays are on their way! Crazy, isn't it? It doesn't feel like that long ago we were celebrating Christmas and now Term 1 is almost over! This year, the autumn ACT school holidays run between Good Friday (10th April) to Tuesday, 28th April (after Anzac Day).
If your child, or children, love to try something new each school holidays - whether it be art classes, coding camps or tennis clinics - there is something for everyone in Canberra these school holidays. This list below is divided into indoor and outdoor programs, to help search for something they make like. Scroll down to find something near you!

1/ Code Camp have fun and educational coding classes designed for children aged between 5 -13, with classes held at ANU, UC High School Kaleen, Canberra Christian School and Burgmann High school in Forde. The cost is $350 for 3 days. See here for details.
2/ Kids Pantry in Deakin offer all-day cooking programs for all school-aged children. This April, kids can learn how to make Apple & Cinnamon Fritters, Chocolate Zucchini Brownies, Ricotta Gnocchi and more! The cost is $160 a day. See here for details.
3/ Active Gamers in Woden hold a school holiday program for children and teenagers aged between 9 - 15, which promotes the importance of a balanced lifestyle with the fun and excitement of video games. It also addresses important issues in today's online environments such as bullying, racism, sexism and gaming addiction. They offer 2 - 5 day workshops, starting from $210 (less with child care subsidy). See here for details.
4/ Warehouse Circus offer circus training at two locations across Canberra each school holidays - at Chifley and Kaleen. Their workshops are split into age groups between 5 - 7, 8 - 12 and 12 - 17. The cost starts at $210. See here for details.
5/ Sew Simple at Hume have a school holiday sewing workshop to learn how to sew your own pencil case for Term 2! The cost is $65. See here for details.
6/ Maker2Market™is a school holiday program for kids aged between 10 - 17 who are creative, love making things and have the dream to start their own business. Workshops are held over 2 days and then the market day is held at the Old Bus Depot Markets! The cost is $220 for 3 days. See here for details.

7/ Southern Canberra Gymnastics at Wanniassa have school holiday gymnastic workshops for kids aged 3 and over. As well as gymnastics they also offer a Ninja Warrior Course for kids aged 7 and over. Prices start from $20 a session. See here for details and the flyer here.
8/ Gungahlin Gymnastics in Mitchell also offer gymnastics workshops, with kids learning the basics of gymnastics such as handstands, cartwheels and round-offs. The cost is $24 per session. See here for details.
9/ AIE (Academy of Interactive Entertainment) in Watson will be having school holiday programs in 2D Character Design and Animation, Board Game Design and game development. The cost is $387.50 for 3 days. See here for details.

10/ Canberra Academy of Chess in Woden have a one day school holiday chess clinic on Tuesday 14th April, at a cost of $65. See here for details.
11/ Gumnut Dance in Mitchell have school holiday programs which include dance, craft, games, activities and a gift bag for each child. Prices start from $45. See here for details.
12/ Lavender Art Studios in Phillip offer art classes for children aged between 5 - 13 years. The cost is $75. See here for details.
13/ Bricks4Kids have all-day Lego workshops at Belconnen, Hughes and Weston. Prices start from $90. See here for details.
14/ Possum Patch in Pialligo (at Pialligo Estate) is a cooking school for kids, which also involves learning about fresh produce and picking fresh food from the gardens. There are different things to cook each day - from making pizza from scratch to rolling sushi! The cost is $99 per day. See here for details.

15/ Mountain Trails Adventure Camps is a Christian camp which offer overnight camps for 3 - 4 nights which includes canoeing, caving and climbing. There is also a half day elective of dirt bike riding or horse riding. Their property is 9,000 acres of land near Wee Jasper. Prices start from $260. See here for details.
16/ CGS Sports Camps have 3 day sports programs located at Canberra Grammar School. Children from all schools are welcome to attend. They offer rugby, soccer, tennis, basketball and netball. Prices start from $325. See here for details.
17/ Canberra Yacht Club have school holiday sailing courses on Lake Burley Griffin, with 4 day courses starting from $400. See here for details. 18/ Forest Park Riding School in Stromlo have 5 day courses for children aged 7 - 16, which includes grooming and basic horse riding skills. There is a chance to ride twice daily to test out their new skills. Prices start from $400 for a 4 day program. See here for details.
19/ B-Firm is an outdoor obstacle course at Symonston where kids can climb, crawl, run, hang and laugh while trying out the different challenges. The school holiday programs also include code-breaking, compass reading and memory challenges! The course is designed for kids aged between 7 - 17 years. The cost is $90. See here for details.
20/ The National Zoo and Aquarium in Yarralumla have a Zoocation program each school holidays, where kids can make toys for the animals and get up close and personal with them. The cost is $80 a day. See here for details.
