There is something for everyone this April
The scenic Northern Beaches is hosting an array of events for all ages and interests this April. There will be something for everyone - see the list below of free & ticketed events:

1. Kids Art Adventures
When: 1, 15 & 29 April 2018: 10:30am-12pm
Where: Manly Art Gallery & Museum, 1 West Esplanade, Manly
Cost: $25pp
Details: This event will certainly keep the little ones entertained. The hands-on workshop is suited for kids aged 5-11 and they will learn photomontage, printmaking, sculpture, illustration, and painting. Children will be inspired by engaging with a range of exciting artists and artworks. Click here for the website.

2. Life Drawing Workshop
When: 3 & 17 April 2018
Where: Manly Art Gallery & Museum, 1 West Esplanade, Manly
Cost: $10pp for MAG & M Society members and $17pp for non-members
Details: Practice your creative skills with this workshop event. The Life Drawing Workshop is open to all, at any level of drawing skill. There will also be half-time break refreshments included. Click here for the website.

3. Comedy For A Cause- Seniors Week Event
When: 4 April 2018: 10am-12pm
Where: The Builders Club, 18 Fisher Rd, Dee Why
Cost: Free
Details: Australian comedy legends Gary Eck, Sam Bowring, Peter Meisel and Oliver Phommavanh will take the stage with a live standup comedy performance. Click here for the website.

4. Seniors Festival
When: 4-27 April 2017
Where: Various locations across Northern Beaches
Cost: Free & ticketed events
Details: Seniors will enjoy the array of events including workshops, classes, masterclasses, coastal and other walk events, Men's Shed, competitions, festive BBQ, activities, tours, demonstrations, expos and much more. Click here for the website.

5. Seniors Festival and Wellbeing Expo.
When: 6 April 2018: 10am-2pm
Where: Dee Why RSL, Level 3, 932 Pittwater Rd, Dee Why
Cost:
Details: This event will feature over 40 stalls promoting services, programs and activities to enhance life to remain healthy, wealthy and wise in retirement. There will also be speakers, talks, short seminars, demonstrations, and Men's Cave which will feature Men's Kitchen, Men's shed, walking football and more. Click here for the website.

6. ArtDecko Workshop
When: 6 April 2018: 4:30pm-7:30pm
Where: PCYC Northern Beaches, 40 Kingsway, Dee Why
Cost: $40pp
Details: This workshop is suited for ages 10-24yrs and will help to design your own skateboard deck with help from professional artists. The event will include skate deck, workshops, exhibition, ARTDECKO t-shirt and one-year PCYC membership. Click here for the website.

7. Footloose Performance
When: 6 & 7 April 2018
Where: Glen Street Theatre, cnr Glen Street & Blackbutts Rd, Belrose
Cost: Adults: $45pp & Children: $30pp
Details: Presented by LOUD Theatre Company, Footloose performance is a heartfelt story of a father longing for the son she lost and of a young man aching for the father who walked out on him. Click here for the website.

8. Manly Splash n' Dash
When: 7 April 2018: 8am-11am
Where: Manly Beach, Manly
Cost: Fundraising event
Details: This swim and run event will be coming to Manly for the first time and will be a great event to get fit, focused and challenge yourself on the iconic golden beaches of Northern Beaches. The event will also help to raise funds for the Burdekin Association to support at risk children in the local community. Click here for the website.

9. Warringah Triathlon
When: 8 April 2018: 6:30am-8:30am
Where: North Head, North Head Scenic Drive, Manly

10. Zest for life Festival
When: 8 April 2018: 10am-2pm
Where: Avalon Community Garden, Barrenjoey High School, Tasman Rd, North Avalon
Cost: Free
Details: This festival will feature eco legends talks, Garden's Natural Food Cafe selling organic produce, tea, coffee and cakes, live performances, kids activities and games, entertainment, eco workshops, films, activities for all ages, demonstrations and much more. Click here for the website.

11. Northern Beaches Creative Creatures Film Festival
When: 8 April 2018: 1pm-8pm
Where: Avalon Beach Bowling Club, Bowling Green Lane, off Old Barrenjoey Rd, Avalon Beach
Cost: Tickets range from: $10-$15pp
Details: This film festival will be an open-air event and will showcase filmmakers young and old enter films that are 3-minutes long from all genres. This year's signature item will be 'Red Shoes'/ wear 'red shoes' to celebrate this event. Click here for the website.

12. Nicola Moriarty Author Talk
When: 11 April 2018: 6:30pm-8pm
Where: Warringah Mall Library, Shop 650/145 Old Pittwater Rd, Brookvale

13. Taikoz Live!

15. Brilliant Artists Film Series
When: 14 April 2018: 5pm-7pm
Where: Manly Art Gallery & Museum, 1 West Esplanade, Manly
Cost: See website.
Details: The Manly Art Gallery & Museum Society will be presenting a series of films for art lovers on the life and work of four inspirational Australian artists as well as opportunities to go behind the scenes and look at the Archibald Prize. 16. Long Reef Guided Walk
When: 15 April 2018: 1pm-3pm
Where: Fishermans Beach, Anzac Ave, Collaroy
Cost: Free
Details: This free guided walk onto the Long Reef Rock Platform will take you through geographical features of the area, look at trace fossils and learn why some migratory birds travel in tens of thousands of kilometers from Siberia & Japan to spend time at Long Reef, and observe the vast variety of marine life that inhabit the intertidal zone. 17. Inflatable Fun- School Holiday event
When: 19 & 26 April 2018: 1pm-4pm
Where: Warringah Aquatic Centre, Aquatic Drive, Frenchs Forest
Cost: Free with the general admission entry ticket.
Details: The kids will be entertained the whole afternoon with the free giant inflatable entertainment. Children must complete a swim test and receive a wristband. Click here for the website.

18. The Naked Magicians
When: 19 April 2018: From 8pm.
Where: Glen Street Theatre, cnr Glen St & Blackbutt Rd, Belrose
Cost: $49.90pp or VIP Package: $79.90pp (meet & greet, premium seating, a photo and lanyard)

19. Fire & Rain Performance
When: 21 April 2018: From 8pm
Where: Glen Street Theatre, cnr Glen St & Blackbutt Rd, Belrose

Details: Performed by Darren Coggan, award-winning performer and star of the critically acclaimed show Peace Tran-The Cat Stevens Story. 20. From Coast to Country

Where: Creative Space, 105 Abbot Rd, North Curl Curl

21. ANZAC Walking Tour
When: 24 April 2018: 9:30am-12pm
Where: Frenchs Forest Bushland Cemetery, 1 Hakea Ave, Davidson
Cost: Free
Details: An ANZAC Heros Tour of Frenchs Forest Bushland Cemetery. On the tour walk, you will hear amazing stories of the many servicemen who died during or returned from all military engagements who rest at Frenchs Forest. 22. School Holiday Creative Workshop
When: 24 April 2018: 10am-12pm & 2pm-4pm sessions
Where: Manly Art Gallery & Museum, West Esplanade, Manly
Cost: $30pp
Details: This event is suitable for young people aged 12-18yrs and will feature creating images interpreting the landscape and people within it. There will be challenges by taking the camera off 'auto' and learning manual techniques and how to work with light. Click here for the website.

23. ANZAC Day 2018
When: 25 April 2018: 4:25am-1pm

Cost: Free
Details: There will be Dawn Services throughout the Northern Beaches. Dawn Services will be held at:

- Manly War Memorial, The Corso, Manly (located outside Manly Town Hall, opposite Manly Wharf) at 4:25am.

- Manly Dam, King St, Manly Vale.
Arrive by 5:15am for a 5:30am service.

- Dee Why Beach, Ted Jackson Reserve
5:30am service and there will be a free shuttle bus operating from Dee Why RSL to Dee Why Beach (Oaks Ave) from 5am-5:35am and Dee Why Beach to Dee Why RSL from 6:20am- 7:15am

- Commemoration Service and March
Manly War Memorial, The Corso, Manly (outside Manly Town Hall, opposite Manly Wharf)
10:55am March will commence up Darley Rd to the Manly War Memorial.

24. Bike Ride & Games
When: 30 April 2018: 10am-1pm
Where: Cromer Community Centre, 150 Fisher Rd Nth, Cromer
Cost: Free
Details: This event will feature a bike ride to Narrabeen Lagoon, fun games, free pizza and giveaways as well as getting expert tips that will boost your riding skills. Bring your own bike and approved helmet-compulsory. Bookings essential. Click here for the website.
