Every month Melbourne buzzes with an array of events and this April, there will be plenty of events for all ages, interests and budgets.

The list below features free and ticketed events:

1. The Thai Songkran Street Festival
When: 1 & 2 April 2017: 9am-3pm
Where: Queen Victoria Market, cnr Elizabeth & Victoria Streets, Melbourne
Cost: Free
Details: This multicultural event will showcase the best of Thailand's food, art and culture with 15 restaurants featuring traditional and authentic Thai cuisine as well as other scrumptious foods from South East Asian neighbours. 2. Make Your Parents Disappear Kids Show
When: 1-16 April 2017
Where: The Famous Spiegeltent at Arts Centre, 100 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne
Cost: Tickets range from $16-$20pp

3. Kensington Community Festival

4. Soul Sessions Family Day
When: 2 April 2017: 2pm-7pm
Where: Alumbra, 161 Harbour Esplanade, Shed 9, Central Pier, Docklands

5. Irabina Autism Services Superhero Fun Run

Where: Royal Melbourne Botanic Gardens, Pillars of Wisdom, Melbourne
Cost: Fundraising event

6. Smurfs High Tea
When: 3- 25 April 2017-  two sessions daily
Where: The Langham Melbourne, 1 Southgate Ave, Melbourne
Cost: Adults: $55pp, Children food only: $35pp, Children food & toy: $49pp

8. Ride to Recovery Fundraising Event
When: 4 April 2017: 6am-6pm
Where: The Royal Melbourne Hospital, 300 Grattan St, Melbourne

Where: Jason Coleman's Ministry of Dance, 64 Sutton St, North Melbourne

Details: This multicultural event will be taking over Melbourne for three days with all things Latin! 14. Herald Sun/ City Link Run for Kids
When: 9 April 2017: 8:30am-1:30pm
Where: Kings Domain, Alexandria Ave, Melbourne
Cost: Fundraising Event

16. Celebrate Easter Melbourne 2017

Details: This festival will celebrate redheads as ginger supporters unite, armed with banners and flags to march the streets of Melbourne in celebration of their uniqueness. 21. Altitude Shift
When: 28 & 29 April 2017: 8am-5pm
Where: St James Building, 535 Bourke St, Melbourne
Cost: $150pp - fundraising event
Details: If you are interested in a challenge then this event is for you! The event will feature spectacular views of the CBD skyline, before you take the plunge down all 27 floors (113 metres of 370 feet) back to street level. The event is open for everyone over 16yrs, regardless of shape, fitness or ability. All funds raised will go to Anglicare Victoria. Click here for the website.

22. Nusantara Indonesia Street Festival
