Australia Day in the City – 26 January 2019 – free event
Celebrate our national day in Elder Park with over 40,000 people at twilight with a street parade, concert and fireworks.
At 7pm, the concert kicks off, with The Veronicas & The Sundance Kids performing before Adelaide's biggest Australia Day firework finale.

During the Cup long weekend, celebrate 25 years of Womadelaide in the Botanic Park with DJs, dancers and bands performing a mix of Indigenous and contemporary music on the main concert stage.
Painters and performers create visual and dramatic art while orators discuss our relationship with the environment.

Delve into our past, discovering the buried secrets of South Australia's history as you climb the branches of your family tree.
In our state's annual history festival, a series of talks, workshops, walks and exhibitions will step through the centuries of local stories, restored through artefacts, letters, artwork and photography.

Dreambig Children's Festival – 22 May to 1 June 2019 – free and ticketed events
Showcasing our next generation of artistic talent, millions of children in SA have performed in Dreambig since its inception in 1974.
The festival begins with a giant opening night performance featuring dance, a simultaneous book reading by students throughout Australia. The fun continues with 10-Minute Day Parties inside shipping containers, Of All The People In All The World, where grains of rice contain the statistics of life,
The Gruffalo, a popular stage play returning after sellout seasons in Broadway and the West End.

Beginning on the Queen's Birthday long weekend, the world's largest cabaret festival adds sultry sound to a cool winter with music, theatre and comedy.

Sala Festival - August 2019 – free and ticketed events
With a focus on the visual art created in our communities, the South Australian Living Artists Festival is the largest of its kind in Australia.
Exhibitions will feature throughout SA in conventional galleries but also at parks, restaurants, retail shops, offices and wineries.
Artists in every visual medium are contributing, with photography, sculpture, painting and multimedia installations tackling our thorniest contemporary issues.

Adelaide Guitar Festival - 15 to 19 July 2019 – free and ticketed events
The guitar is the musical-must for rock stars and a
hit with children as they prefer an electric, classical or bass guitar over all other musical instruments.
