Australia Day is on Thursday, 26 January 2012 and there are a number of events occurring in and around the city of Perth to commemorate this special day; so we thought we would do the hard work for you and select five of the very best events to head to.
So, let's get straight to it;
Australia Day Bush Breakfast
This great family event is being held to honour those who have been nominated for various Citizenship Awards by the Shire of Dalwallinu council members.
This is another breakfast event to kick of Australia Day celebrations in Perth. This event will be held in Memorial Park, commencing at 11.30am. The Shire of Brookton are providing a free cooked breakfast, which will be followed by Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony.
With a good breakfast sorted, head down to the Merredin Australia Day Beach Party, which will be held at the Merredin Regional Community and Leisure Centre. This events kicks off at 4pm and will include award presentations of the Merredin Citizen and Young Citizen of the year and a free BBQ dinner.
This is another great afternoon event which will be held at Sir James Mitchell Park. It is expected that there will be some 70 fun family activities under the Big Top, including Zorb Balls, Belly Bumpers, Crazy Bikes, Water Slide, Mini Golf, Pedalos and much, much more.
