Gaming is an amazing activity that unfortunately doesn't always combine effectively with other aspects of life, such as socialising with non-gamer friends and family. Worry not, for there is hope. Life outside of your favourite world doesn't have to be boring. In fact, it is possible to combine the two. This list of 3 outdoor activities for PC gamers has been compiled for you by one of you, a gamer.
Just like you go hunting for fish in Azeroth, you can also go hunting for fish in real life by taking a fishing charter. You can start off by hiring a boat or going on a fishing tour if you're game. If you leave your city and make a road trip out of it (and think of it as a quest), you could discover a new passion around those nearest to you in the real world.
Do you play a hunter or an archer in your game? Why not try archery in real life? Depending on your location, you can take classes and you may also be able to turn it into a group session. I wonder if years of training your on-screen precision can help you be a good shot in real life – definitely worth finding out.
If you love weaponry, fencing sounds like the perfect sport for you. There are training schools available around the country and even tournaments. Some schools have corporate events and competitions and are group-friendly. You can learn to be a warrior outside of your PC and share it with those you care about the most.
Although these are only three activities, these were hand-picked by trial and error by a group of gamers. Other potential outdoor activities for us include camping, Whitewater rafting, obstacle courses, mini-golf and going to the occasional pub (though one could argue whether that fits into the category of an outdoor activity).
