Souvlaki is one of those meals that is readily available but where are the best tasting dishes because life's too short to eat dry meat.

Coming in at third is Brightons Eurobay Cafe. The chips here are amazing. Talk about a special blend of herbs. The colonels 7 herbs and spices have nothing on these babies. It'll cost you $27 for 3 good sized skewers, chips, Greek salad, tzatziki, and grilled pita bread. It's a feast. This place is usually pretty packed which is a testament to its quality. Find it here.

Second is the Crest Hotel in Sylvania which incorporates a Mikes Grill Bistro. Mike's beef souvlaki is $22 and comes with your choice of chips and salad or vegetables and potato, grilled pita bread, tzatziki and is enough to fill you up. Plus they have a poker comp, air hockey comp and a pinball machine. The line is usually pretty long, so get in early or work up an appetite. Check out the website here and map location here.

The Allawah Hotel tops the list as the best tasting lamb souvlaki provider in the St George and Sutherland Shire area. The portions are smaller but the quality is mouth watering and only $17. Again you have the choice of chips and salad or veges and mash and depending on what night you go, you might be entertained by a live band or some karaoke. This pub grub is not only great but its quick and all the staff are friendly. Find it here.

Now there's no excuse not to souvlaki up, Enjoy!

I agree with your first two suggestions but i have not yet tried allawah hotel. But i can tell you that Kogarah Hotel (Bistro Kogarah) has amazing lamb souvlaki it comes on pita bread with greek salad and tzatziki over the top of three lamb skewers. You really must go there and try it. It is very popular and quite large and filling considering it is only $17. They have other great meals there too. You should check it out.
