Traces As Flowers: Flora as Pathways - A Collaborative Exhibition
This exhibition showcases the work of four artists, as they explore cultivated blooms in the Cairns Botanic Gardens. It will begin on the 16th of November and end on the 24th of December 2013. The exhibition will be at the Tanks Arts Centre, 46 Collins Avenue, Edge Hill, in Cairns.

Cairns Esplanade Heritage Walk
Spring is a great time to get out on the Esplanade, and enjoy the one hour walk that encompasses historic buildings, landmarks and sights. A brochure is available at the link above.

Daintree National Park
It takes less than an hour to drive from Cairns to the rainforest at Cape Tribulation, and Spring is a great time to see blossoming flowers, and view the mangroves without getting muddy feet. This time of year also gives clear views from the Mount Sorrow Lookout.
