A Winter of Food, Music, and Art awaits
Hobart is a city that loves great food, music, and art, and winter is the best time to enjoy them all. Check out the top three festivals for winter that keep you active and entertained.

Savour Tasmania
May 29th to June 2nd 2013.

Savour Tasmania celebrates Tasmania's world-class produce and beverages. Events in Hobart are held at Garagistes, Princes Wharf, and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.

Colin Fassnidge and gourmet farmer Matthew Evans will kick-off the festival with a celebration of the pig at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery on May the 29th. Several events will then feature the famous Belgian chef, Kobe Desramaults, who runs the Michelin-starred restaurant In de Wulf. There will also be a range of other events including the Tasmanian Red Wine Weekend and master classes for the state's chefs.

Dark Mofo at The Museum of Old and New Art, MONA
June 13th to 23rd 2013.

The program of events for Dark Mofo includes music, films, art, and a feast.

The Red Queen exhibition features Australian and International artists and is likely to draw big crowds. Public artworks include scultpures by Anish Kapoor, and video art.

Music performances will include punk, disco, and experimental artists. Tasmanian convict history is also presented in song, performance and projections.

Thriller and classic films are included in the program, along with a screening of the Disney classic Fantasia, with a score performed by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.

Hobart City Council will also host a Winter Feast from June 20th to June 22nd at the waterfront.

Festival of Voices
July 5th to 14th 2013.

The Festival Voices includes performances, workshops, and choirs. Acts include Kate Ceberano and Christine Anu.

The festival offers a diverse range of concerts from national and international talent. The Festival Bonfire and Big Sing is a mid-winter tradition in Hobart. The finale concert is also a free and a great event for the family.
