[ADVERT]I find it very hard to sit still, so unless I have a very good reason to stay in one place, I am usually on the go. But a few times I have arrived at a spot not knowing what to expect, only to be presented with the most breathtaking view. During was those times, I give myself permission to sit still and enjoy the moment; okay, maybe a few moments.

Here are some of the most spectacular NSW look-outs that are guaranteed to take your breath away

Bald Hill near Wollongong

Enjoy incredible views from the look out over Stanwell Park or if you are game enough, sign up for a tandem hang-gliding session.



Harbour Bridge

Walk across the Harbour Bridge or over the bridge and enjoy Sydney's most beautiful views of the Opera House.



Sublime Point Lookout

Spectacular lookout over Wollongong. Great park with BBQs and amenities and also café with awesome views.



Bulli Lookout

Enjoy a quiet coffee or lunch at The Cliffhanger Café overlooking the Wollongong area.



Mount Pleasant Lookout

Bring a picnic and enjoy some quiet time. A couple of tables and plenty of grassy areas, but no amenities.



Echo Point

Stunning views over the Blue Mountains. Cafés, restaurants and shops as well as a park, green open spaces and amenities



Luna Park

An incredible from from below … enjoy this great view of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.



Byron Bay Lighthouse

360 degree views of Byron Bay and the ocean. Parking available near the lighthouse and also a small cafe.



Jamberoo

Take a chair lift to the top of Jamberoo Action Park and get this spectacular view of all the action below.



Crystal Castle

Tranquil surroundings add to the experience of this fantastic view from the Crystal Palace overlooking Byron Bay and surrounding areas. Enjoy a healthy snack or lunch at Lotus Cafe. Find out more about Crystal Castle .



Wollongong Botanic Gardens

Everywhere you look, this stunning Botanic Garden offers incredible sights. Buy a coffee or a snack at the entrance to or bring a picnic and enjoy hours relaxing on the grounds of these pristine gardens. Find out more about Wollongong Botanic Gardens.



Port Macquarie Lighthouse

Amazing view from this lighthouse overlooking Lighthouse Beach. Not much parking available, but definitely worth stopping for a while and taking in the fresh ocean air. You will often see camels taking people for a ride on Lighthouse Beach.



One Mile Beach

Enjoy this incredible view while the kids slide down on sand-dunes on cardboard boxes or boogie boards. No amenities or cafes on this northern part of the beach, but definitely worth spending time at. More info on One Mile Beach



Collaroy Plateau

Stunning views over Collaroy Beach and Narrabeen Beach . There are several spots where you can have a picnic. Only street parking is available.



West Head

Great place to take your kids, as you can enjoy these fabulous views over Palm Beach, but also see kangaroos and goannas. There are BBQ facilities and plenty of picnic areas, but no cafes, so BYO coffee.
