We all love to get up in the air and I'm not talking about getting to the destination - I'm talking about things to do and the best way to fly once you are already on vacation on the Gold Coast.



There are so many great ways to see the Gold Coast and surely with the beautiful beaches, one of the best ways would be from the air.

We would love to hear your favourite ways to get airborne over the Gold Coast.

To get the ball rolling here are a few of my ideas:

1. Airborne Trains
Enjoy the most amazing bird's eye view over Sea World on the sky-high Skyway. As you enter it gives a bird's eye view of all you can see at Seaworld.

2. Like a G Force:
For thrill-seekers, perhaps it might be just up your alley to shoot yourself 60 metres into the sky on a 4.6 G-Force at Warner Brothers Movie World Batwing space shot.

3. Rope Me In:
For the young or the young at heart, perhaps you would like to challenge yourself at Adventure Park high ropes course at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

4. hover About:
If hovering over a beautiful Hinterland landscape whilst taking in amazing city views is just what you are looking for, connect with Gold Coast Heli tours to hover over this beautiful landscape.

5. Float About:
If you're the sort of person that likes to do it in luxury. Bring it on, with a sense of peace and being "at one with the universe." You may find your inner peace in a hot air balloon ride, there are several operators around the Gold Coast for you to choose from including Hot Air Balloon , Balloon Aloft Gold Coast , Balloon Down Under , Go Ballooning .



6. Sleep near the Stars:
If all of this risk taking does not appeal to you in the slightest, but you still want to get up in the sky, you could choose a high-rise stay in your hotel at Broadbeach or Surfers Paradise. When booking, request a room up high, preferably overlooking the beach.

7. Find Serenity:
If you're wanting to get out of the bustle of this area for the day, you can take off from the Gold Coast airport and enjoy a day trip to Lady Elliot Island on the Southern Great Barrier Reef with Lady Elliot Adventures. On the journey, you will get to take in beautiful views and the destination is certainly beautiful.

8. Climb to the top
Marriage proposals have taken place here, fears have been conquered, thrillseekers have had their adrenaline satisfied and all you need to do is begin your day on top of the world with the Sky Point climb.

9. Bounce Baby
If the idea of bouncing is more your style, Bounce Inc at Burleigh Waters may be just the fit. From Free Jump, Dodge Ball or Cliff Jump right through to the Minibounce zone, the wall or X Park. Suitable for all ages.

10.Not me:
If you would prefer that someone else gets up / or something else, whilst you watch you might like to take in the Free flight bird show at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary .
