With tourist season already upon Toowoomba, hungry travellers can breakfast at these great noshes.

Parkhouse Cafe

Savoury Mince full of goodness at Parkhouse Cafe.

Seven days all day breakfast from 6am, Parkhouse Cafe has it all; al fresco and indoor dining, park views, excellent service and fabulous food. Breakfast average price $24.30 with a wide range including Canadian French Toast, Savoury Mince, Spinach & Fetta Hot Cakes, Sweet Corn Fritters and lots more with all your breakfast favourites. The savoury mince comes with crispy Turkish toast drowned in butter, a generous serving topped with an egg with a touch of sour cream; lots of textures.

Opposite beautiful tourist locale Laurel Bank Park, Urban Grounds offers views of the park from the veranda and great service. La Belle Creperie

If you're after something lighter and less costly on a Saturday morning, try La Belle Creperie at the Farmer's Markets. Seating nearby if you don't fancy browsing the stalls in the sunshine and plenty of options for drinks including coffee. Brisk service with a big smile, crepes from $8 to $16 will supply you with choices of apricot or strawberry jam, banana and caramel (quite filling), shaved ham and cheese (popular), sun dried tomatoes with feta and spinach, plus more. Two Birds Cafe

Popular with local workers, Two Birds Cafe and Catering is tucked away in Duggan Street off Margaret Street, in the heart of the city. New management are keen to make your breakfast a good dining experience. Breakfast from 7am - 10am (but could extend the times to all day), prices from $6 to $19. Pancakes, toasties, raisin toast, cooked breakfast, scones, smashed avo and feta. Creamy mellow coffee (medium strength), beans locally sourced, wide variety of choices including Americano, cappuccino, dirty chai and latte. Love birds motif, al fresco in warmer months in character-filled courtyard, facilities on site.

Chocolate Cottage

As wonderful as its name implies, the Chocolate Cottage at Highfields on Sundays is jam-packed, so you'll need to book a table, but on other days you shouldn't need to. Situated atop a mountain, the views are outstanding. A laid-back breakfast on the lawn can fill you up with things like Eggs Bennie, smoked bacon or beef sausages and eggs with roasted tomato, smoked salmon croissant and eggs scrambled or poached on sourdough. Potter's House Hotel

All your classic cooked breakfasts with pleasant and brisk country-style service. Selections like Granola, bacon and egg roll, smashed avocado and feta, Belgian waffle, variety of breads, toasts. Sides $1.50 to $8.90. Good range of coffees, shots and milks. Ala Carte restaurant, al fresco available in warmer seasons, view of windmill. Slow rock music ambience. Bucking Bull
