Bay is a popular beachside holiday destination located on the NSW Central Coast and is a well liked place for families, couples, surfers and people looking for a weekend away from the busy city life. It is just a five minute drive from the Entrance and it offers plenty of attractions for everyone. There are daily pelican feedings at the Entrance foreshore, with a walk along the Entrance boardwalk, a great way to explore the spectacular views.

A main attraction is the protected and patrolled beach, perfect for children and families, keeping them away from the rough seas and waves found at surf beaches, providing a safe swimming environment. Toowoon Bay Beach is also a popular place for fishing, surfing and kite surfing. It also connects with Shelly Bay Beach, another favoured beach destination in the area, with stronger waves suitable for those stronger swimmers and those wanting to catch a few larger waves.

Right above the beach, looking down onto the picturesque views of the beach is the local Swadling Park. This park is popular for people of all ages, with adequate parking, spectacular views all year round and BBQ and toilet faciltiies. In the park there are also popular huts which are the perfect place to have your summer family BBQ whilst looking over Toowoon Bay.

The local area also offers caravan parks for those holiday goers, one of the most popular being Toowoon Bay Holiday Park located on Koongara Street. This holiday park becomes very busy around peak periods and is the perfect place for families and young children, and people of all ages. Its close proximity to the beach, with gates and access points to the beach from the park, provides the perfect place for a holiday. Facilities include a playground, amenities block, swimming pool, jumping pillows, camp kitchen, grassed areas and the perfect beachfront location.

Toowoon Bay and its neighbouring suburbs, have all the necessary facilities to make it a popular holiday destination, with local takeaway shops, hairdressers, dry cleaners, cinemas, local Woolworths, K-Mart and speciality shops found in the shopping centre located just a 5-10 minute drive at Bay Village, convenience stores, ATMs, newsagents and plenty of cafes right on the beach. Other local attractions include the Australian Reptile Park and local golf courses.

So if you are looking for a perfect beachside escape, then Toowoon Bay is the place to go.
