Toowoon Bay Beach, sometimes referred to as Chinamans Bay is located on NSW Central Coast – not far from the very popular tourist hub The Entrance and within minutes from Tuggerah Lakes. It is only about 90 minutes north from Sydney and an hour south of Newcastle.
It is the perfect family beach as it is protected from winds and strong currents, so there are no large waves, although there can be some currents near the rocks. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards and was recently awarded Australia's Cleanest Beach.
If you are planning a holiday on Central Coast, the options for accommodation are endless – from cosy cottages to welcoming B&Bs, luxurious hideaways and beachside holiday parks. For families holiday and caravan parks offer choice of cabins, camping or caravans and many provide fun filled kids activity programs during school holidays.
