Laurel Bank Park Carnival Flowers 2020 cottage garden
Laurel Bank Park has outdone themselves with meaningful artworks for the 2020 Carnival of Flowers.

Laurel Bank Park gardens for the 2020 Carnival of Flowers are complete with fitness and family features, planting tags and photo ops. The theme this year is Family Time and the features reflect this, one in the form of a cottage with gnomes and others with fitness messages. Tropical beach or rustic garden, the artworks are full of life. Dutch windmills surrounded by tulips are charming by a rustic garden with a stone seat photo op spot.

Spectacularly arranged gardens are full of colour, a feast for the eyes every year. The Wisteria Walk is a popular spot for couples under the shaded bower. A 'hedge-train' attracts the little ones. Plenty of picnic spaces on the lawns.

Garden gnomes know how to chill out.

Laurel Bank Park has many moods that will keep visitors wandering as they unwind. The park is getting busy already. If you need a more peaceful moment, try a walk by the hedge behind the croquet club, or the western end of the scented gardens or the top northern corner of the park. The scented gardens are a meandering stroll and probably my favourite corner of the park, especially when the lotuses are blooming in the pond. Papyrus provide an exotic feeling to the water feature.

Sculpted hedges and stunning garden beds await visitors.

The Wisteria Walk is popular with couples.

With 4.5 hectares to explore and photograph, visitors enjoy the fragrances and beauty of this park. Even the gates (installed in 1934) are beautiful. The formal rose garden is currently without blooms, though for the rest of the year they are breathtaking.
