On a day outing with my family, we decided to drive up to Tooloom Falls. We looked at some pictures and found the map to get there and we were off. We do love to take in the scenery and to see new places.

Tooloom Falls, which sets just over the NSW border is tucked away about 25-30 km from Woodenbong, NSW.

Upon arrival to Tooloom Falls, we found that the camping is free, with bushland, restroom and quietness. There were people camping at Tooloom when we arrived. But the road going across Tooloom Falls was closed. So, my family and I walked across the falls. At the top of the falls is absolutely beautiful.

You can also access camping on the opposite side of the falls as well.

There is swimming at the top of the falls, that a man and his wife were swiming and seemed to enjoy the refreshing water of the Tooloom Falls. There were great camping spots at the bottom of Tooloom Falls, however, the climb to get to those camping spots is steep.

But rating it on the scenery, I would say 9, camping in peace and quiet, I would give it a 10, and camping itself, I would say an 8. But the overall score, I would give it is a 9.

As I stated it is free camping, however, with that being said, you must bring your own drinking water to this site.

If you are looking to get back out into nature, find peace of mind and enjoy yourself, this would be the ideal place to go.
