Tonsley Innovation District is an urban development in what was the old Mitsubishi Motors assembly plant site on South Road, in Clovelly Park. It is now described as Australia's first innovation district, connecting businesses with the best and brightest.
Take a Free One Hour Walking Tour This unique development is in the City of Marion and is in the process of being completely redeveloped as an integrated employment, education and residential precinct by Renewal SA. Tonsley is currently running walking tours of this huge site, in which participants will be able to discover Tonsley's mixed-use precinct design and learn about how Tonsley Innovation District is bringing together Australia's smartest businesses with a mix of residential and community living.
The tours are on Every Thursday at 11am and commence from and finish at Gate 1 of the Main Assembly Building (MAB) at Tonsley, located at A7 MAB, 6 MAB Eastern Promenade.
The best available public parking is available at Carpark P4 located on the western side of Tonsley. These tours are provided free-of-charge by the City of Marion. You should bring comfortable walking shoes and a water bottle. The tour is conducted under the Main Assembly Building (MAB), which is a large covered roof and so should it rain you will not get wet, however you are encouraged to dress for the weather. The tour goes for one hour and may be difficult for those with mobility issues. Parking can be limited -please allow time for this. There is a drop off zone located near Gate One, where attendees can hop off whilst the driver finds a park.

Each attendee will be required to fill out an SA Health Attendance record, inclusive of a mobile phone number or email address, this record will be kept by Tonsley and City of Marion in case of a COVID outbreak.
