Fish & Chips with Style
Newly opened in Moridalloc, Tommy Ruff Fish Bar, is afish and chip shop with a difference. Dine in or take away, this friendly vibrant Cafe/Restaurant/Bar is great for casual dinning, family groups, or a girl's night out. There is plenty of laughter to be heard, and the staff are approachable and ready for a quick chat about the food or the weather.

There is something for everyone on the menu. For those who require a bit more sophistication there is the Seafood Chowder, but I couldn't go past the Tackle box for 2. It is a share plate for 2 with fish & chips, calamari rings, prawns and tartare sauce - a kid at heart, I really enjoyed this.

This is no ordinary fish & chip shop; not only can you dine in, but you can also order alcohol. If you are partial to Ginger Beer, you must try the Brookvale Union Ginger Beer. At $12.00 a bottle it seemed expensive but the bottle contained more that 2 glasses and the flavour was fantastic, so it was worth the indulgence.

Comments on the menu The menu is based around seafood, and the specials board is well worth a look - it tended to be a little more expensive than the menu, but the offerings were very tempting. Main meals were around $16.00 to $30.00 from the menu.

Without a car Moridalloc Train Station is only a five minute walk away
With a car Only street parking available, so parking could be an issue on a busy day/night as Main St, Mordialloc can get busy. Parking is free. During the day there is a 2 hour limit but after 6pm there is no restrictions.

Aisle access/width (1 metre) to allow ease of movement the restaurant is narrow and quite cramped, maneuverability could be difficult.
Proximity to to disabled parking There was a single disabled parking spot a few shops down.

Kid friendly
Kids menu, children were welcomed but I didn't see any highchairs.
