Farm Fresh produce at its best
Tucked away in the Scenic Rim is a haven for those looking for fresh farm produce.
Tommerups Farm Larder is just a short drive south of Beaudesert into the aptly named Lost World Valley . At the farm larder - open by appointment only - you will be able to pick up Tommerup's own range of ethically raised meat, raw honey from the farm's beehives, fresh produce from the garden and local farms, Norco and White Gold Creamery dairy delicacies and local produce.
Tommerups is a 6th generation family dairy farm with regular farm tours and accommodation for the city dwellers to experience a taste of country life so close to the City. Book on a tour and you can feed sheep and calves, chickens and see their pigs fed.
Over the winter months, they will open the farm gates on a regular basis to hold Market Days and are part of the Farm Gate Festival to be held on Saturday 24 June across the Lost World Valley. Stay at Tommerups or at the delightful nearby Worendo Cottages.
Make a trip to Tommerups but BY APPOINTMENT/BOOKING only (no drop-in visits) by calling 07 5544 9269 or 0400 076 556. More details on their website.
