Tofu with Chilli Relish and Cashews Recipe

Having heard tofu described as 'bland', 'jellylike' and 'disgusting', I decided to set about finding a tofu recipe that was anything but. I found a recipe for Tofu with Chilli Relish and Cashews and made some changes. When made, this dish can complement rice or noodles and definitely can't be called 'tasteless'.
Ingredients:
Chilli Relish
80ml of sesame oil
12 spring onions, chopped
8 garlic cloves, chopped
8 long red chillies, chopped
2 red capsicums chopped into small pieces
1 tablespoon of tamari sauce
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of hoi sin sauce
Tofu
3 tablespoons of sesame oil
6 spring onions cut into 3cm lengths
750g of silken firm tofu cut into 6cm pieces
25g of fresh basil
100g of roasted salted cashews
What to do:
To make the chilli relish:
1). Heat 80ml of sesame oil in a frying pan.
2). Add the spring onions, garlic, hoi sin sauce, tamari sauce and soy sauce. Cook over medium heat for 2 minutes.
3). Transfer to the food processor. Add the chilli and capsicum. Blend until smooth.
To cook the tofu:
4). Heat the sesame oil in the frying pan.
5). Add the spring onion and cook for 30 seconds.
6). Add the tofu, basil and cashews. Cook for a further 3 minutes over medium heat.
To bring it all together:
7). Add the chilli relish and cook for 2 minutes.
Serves 4. Enjoy
