Bring your toddler to the zoo for fresh air and yoga
Seriously, is there anything cuter than a toddler practising yoga on their very own little toddler yoga mat? No! If you are a parent of a child aged between 2.5 and 4 years, Perth Zoo is inviting you to bring them along to some very special yoga sessions in November.
Toddler Yoga will be held on the private Oak Lawn every Tuesday and Thursday from Tuesday, 7 November to Thursday, 30 November, with 2 sessions at 9:15am and 10am each day. With spring in full swing, it's a great way to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air with your little one. You can also stay after the session and have a wander around the zoo.
Michelle Renton, Perth's only exclusive child yoga teacher, and her team at Yogazoo, will be running these fun and creative yet calming 30-minute sessions while you relax and watch on with a coffee.
The sessions are specifically designed for children and will include lots of fun activities such as stretching, balancing, jumping, singing, alternating between being noisy and quiet, playing and relaxing in a safe environment.
Classes are only $12 for an individual session or $40 for a 4-week term, which includes 1 class per week. Entry to the zoo is not included in the price, although children under 4 years do get in for free. If you have a Zoo Friends Annual Pass you can enter the zoo for no charge and only pay for the yoga sessions.
Come and see your toddler stretch their body, muscles and mind and reap all the benefits of yoga.
