Introducing art to toddlers
Add a bit of culture to your children's Tuesdays by attending one of QAGOMA's Toddler Tuesday programs at the Gallery of Modern Art, Stanley Place, South Bank.
These fantastic programs run every Tuesday at GOMA. The activities are designed for children 18 months to 4 years. There are 2 session times to choose from: 10.00am to 10.45am or 11.00am to 11.45am and the program runs on an 8 week cycle ie. they run the same theme for 8 weeks and then change to a new theme and new activities.
The program is well set out with 3 distinct 15 minute sections - just the right time frame for littlies. The first 15 minutes is an introduction to the theme which in our case was about shapes. The presenter handed out paper shapes, talked about what they were and showed some slides on the wall of different art work using shapes. The second 15 minutes involves taking your cushion into the gallery and looking at an art work.
