Toasties are one of my favourite food, they are not only delicious but simple to make just cheese, butter and bread! Even though they are simple to make it's nice to have them out as well and Sydney has some great options. From the simplest cheese and bread to towering mi goreng toasties, and everything in between, Sydney has it all.

One of the newest toasties to join the club is Toastiesmith. At Toastiesmith, they are inspired by Korean street food and the Korean chain Isaac Toast. As such, their toasties could be seen as a mix between scrambled eggs and cheese toasties. The menu is simple with 10 toasties varieties and a couple of side dishes. The Signature Eggsmith is filled with scrambled eggs, cheese, roasted sesame flavoured slaw, spicy tomato relish, sweet corn, fish roe, chives and chipotle. While the Bacon My Heart includes egg, cheese and sesame slaw combo, with bacon and smoky BBQ sauce.

However, it was the Shrimp in the Egg that caught my attention. This toastie included scrambled eggs, cheese, roasted sesame flavoured slaw, grilled prawns, corn chips and sweet chilli sauce. And surprisingly it all worked well together. The first half was full of shrimp and egg, then the crispy corn chips came through which was a good mix. The combination of egg, shrimp and sweet chilli makes the perfect lunchtime staple or snack!
