To mark the launch of the long awaited sequel to the much lauded classic, To Kill a Mockingbird, Marrickville Library is screening the film adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize winning book.

The movie is also considered a classic, starring Gregory Peck in his Academy Award winning role as Atticus Finch. Looking at Civil rights and racism, it is unfortunately as relevant today as it was when released.

Film critic, Hug Watson will provide a talk on the background and film analysis and refreshments will be provided. Gleebooks will have copies of both To Kill a Mockingbird and the new title by Harper Lee, Go Set a Watchman for sale on the night.

The screening is free, but please book your place on 9335 2173 or online.

This wonderful evening of entertainment starts at 7.30 on Tuesday, 14th July at Marrickville Library, concluding around 9.30 pm.

Come and celebrate one of the best books of the last century, and the launch of hopefully a new classic by the extraordinary Harper Lee.
