Coinciding with the National Year of Reading 2012 program to promote and encourage reading, the Burnside Library in association with the Independent Theatre Inc. has organised a special evening to showcase the play To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee - adapted by Christopher Sergel.
Many theatre goers will re-call how in 2007, Independent Theatre Inc. produced the play's Australian Premiere and the season was totally sold-out even after extra performances were provided. Now, due to public demand, the company has decided to produce again this truly outstanding theatre production.
