As you enter the room you find a stage with upturned chairs and not much else. Not long after, a man enters the room and announces "I'm not from here"… As of that moment, Tom Gentry takes you on a journey of his life which will leave you questioning linguistics, life and what it all means to be here.



If you are anything like me, this portrayal of the search for a better life will leave you confused more than anything. Was leaving his former life behind all worth it? Or was it merely a "grass is greener" scenario?

Named one of the Best Plays of 2012 by The New York Times, this sure is an emotional rollercoaster ride. Kind of like witnessing an old relative voicing their story for the first and last time, it feels comfortable, slightly nonsensical but familiar.
