Titanic the Exhibition has arrived in Sydney for the very first time and is set to delight young and old with tales of this short-lived iconic ship in an immersive experience that includes an actual iceberg encounter.

Both educational and entertaining, you become the passenger journeying through the ship's conception and construction, and adventuring through its first and final voyage. Sights, sounds, smells and stories will have you feeling as if you were there on that fateful trip back in 1912.

This exhibition on the British passenger liner is the world's largest with over 300 rare artefacts that date back over 100 years. Hands-on activities and re-creations of the luxurious interiors, including the Grand Staircase and First Class Cabin, transport you back to the opulent era of extravagant steamship travel. Memorabilia, such as the Heart of the Ocean necklace, from James Cameron's 1997 epic Titanic blockbuster will also be on display.

Upon entering the exhibition, you will be given a boarding pass with the name and personal information of an actual passenger (from either first, second or third class) that was on the ship. It will give you an insight into their background and life onboard. Move through the experience, culminating in the Memorial Gallery, where you learn the fate of your passenger that cold and early April morning in 1912. Did you survive the disaster or did you pass?

A little sad and eerie or enthralling depending on what you make of it but nonetheless interesting and educational as you go back in time. It's a must-see for history buffs, families, students, those interested in all things maritime, along with fans and lovers of the movie.

You can find this exhibition open daily from 10am-6pm until 22 September at the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park. Allow around 1.5hrs to complete the exhibition. Tickets start from $18 with VIP tickets at $65. The latter include VIP ticket and express entry as well as a guaranteed first class boarding pass and an official souvenir program/catalogue. All tickets include 2 hours parking at Wilson Parking (enter via Lang Rd).

Book your passage today and unravel the mystery.
