Jazz up your bedroom
Does your bedroom need a change? Do you feel as though it has looked the same forever? Here are some inexpensive ways to style your bedroom the way you like it and to have visitors asking how you've livened up the place.

IKEA mirrors
1.Purchase some square or shaped mirrors and place them in an interesting way to make a unique mirror

The mirrors can be placed horizontal, vertical, in a square, diagonally, any way you like. There can be large gaps between the mirrors or no gap at all. Make a mirror display that is unique and functional. It could even be the main artistic feature in your room. Cheap square mirrors can be purchased at IKEA in packs of four.

Curtain Rope
2.Use rope to tie off your curtains

Rope gives a funky look and you can pick whatever colour you like to suit your room. Rope can be purchased at a low price from any Spotlight store. Simply tie it around your curtains and attach to a curtain hook.

Tissue Paper Pom Poms
3.Make some tissue paper pom poms

Tissue paper pom poms are fun and easy to make.
They can be hung from curtain rails to make an attractive end to your curtains. They can also be hung across curtain rails, bed heads, shelves, and from lights as a light feature. They can also be used as table centre pieces or shelf decorations. They are great as they can be any colour and any size you like.

4.Cover or drape a sarong over your bed head

If you have a boring bed head, this will make it colourful and unique.
The best thing is it can be changed whenever you like so you room can be colourful all year round.

Jewellry stand
5.Make a decorative hanger for your jewellery

This could be a stand out piece in your room depending on your jewellery collection. It can be mounted on a wall or placed on a shelf, or even suspended from the ceiling! Be creative.

6.Make a pin board or photo frame collage with pictures of you and your friends

This is a fantastic idea as it makes a room much more colourful. Lots and lots of photos and decorations can be used and they can also be changed whenever you like. The big plus is that your family and friends will love seeing all of the photos when they visit your room.

Just one of these six bedroom decorating tips is guaranteed to make your bedroom a much more attractive place for not only you to be in, but friends and family as well.

The tissue pom poms are an interesting idea.

My mum made pin boards for her bedroom, where she hangs all her notes and things. She used left over material from other projects.

Excellent ideas. I saw absolutely stunning cushions at a place called "Ishka" and just one of these gorgeous pieces would add class to any bedroom (or lounge for that matter).
