Croquembouche or Croque-en-bouche is a traditional French pastry that can serve as a beautifully delicious alternative to a traditional cake, no matter what the occasion.

It contains a pyramid of chocolate and cream-filled profiteroles (round, soft pastries) that are piled on top of each other, and arranged to stand together with fine threads of caramel.

It takes approximately 10 hours to make (from scratch), so if you're after a special something for a birthday or a wedding, I would highly recommend going for this tasty and grand option!
