Play bingo to provide water for villagers
Local Perth charity Timor Leste Vision (TLV) is hosting their inaugural Bingo Night on Friday 30 October 2015 at Subiaco Football Club, 246 Vincent Street Leederville.
Doors open at 6.30pm for 'eyes down' at 7.00 pm
Tickets cost $30 and includes dabbers, booklets, tea or coffee, a raffle ticket and the opportunity to win some great prizes. You may bring your own snacks and buy a drink from the bar.
As well as the raffle, there will be silent and live auctions where you can bid for a range of great prizes including a 2015 West Coast Eagles Jersey signed by the entire team.
Funds raised will support TLV's Hatete Water Project, which is providing water to community facilities and 77 households in the small isolated village of Hatete in the Ermera Province of East Timor.
Timor Leste (East Timor) is one of Asia's poorest countries despite it being practically a stone's throw away from Australia. Local volunteers have banded together as members of the charity Timor Leste Vision (TLV) to fund and implement community development projects in rural areas of the small island country.
Since it commenced in 2004, TLV has been working with local communities in Timor Leste to deliver a range of successful projects, including the renovation of a boarding college in Ainaro, and assisted in the development of libraries and literacy projects in the district of Ermera.
Tickets can be purchased online through TryBooking or phone Joanne on 0407 195 555.
