As a fairly mature woman in my mid-thirties with no kids, I have walked past Timezone in Northbridge hundreds of times without giving it a second thought. I knew it was arcade games, I assumed it was for kids. I was wrong.
Recently on an extremely wet and windy night, my partner and I were running through the streets of Northbridge, desperately trying to avoid getting drenched by the rain when we took shelter in the doors of Timezone.
The rain was showing no sign of letting up and the lure of the bright lights and music enticed us to venture inside.
It was mid-week so the patrons were pretty thin on the ground giving us the opportunity to have a wander around without feeling 'too old'. We were both soon transported back to the days of our youth when our parents would bring us to 'the fair' and we would spend all their money on trying to win teddy bears by knocking down coconuts at the coconut shy.
We spent two hours and more money than I care to admit playing games and reliving our youth and it was one of the best nights out we have had in ages. My partner won a massive teddy bear for me which was a surprise bonus.
I would now consider Timezone as a viable option for chilling out and spending some down time and I would really recommend a visit for any adults who would like to just let loose and revisit their youth.
Timezone is located in Northbridge, Innaloo, Fremantle, Joondalup and Baldivis.
