Finally, unlimited play that wont send you broke
Four days of rain, washing piling up. Flying bugs are starting to attack...cabin fever sets in.

The pain is real and we have to get out of here! So we pile into the car and head to Timezone.

The mention of games arcades would have most parents clutching their purse strings. Gone are the days where you have to worry about kids pumping your precious pennies through claw machines, with no reward and tears for an item that probably cost $2 at the dollar store.

Sure, the claw machines are still around, but Timezone gives you options. I was relieved to learn that Timezone now does 30 mins - 1 hour unlimited play cards.

Unlimited play cards only work on games that don't involve the potential of a physical prize. So no claw games (*shudders*), no tantrums...YEE HAH.

You do get a couple of feature games, like a turn on the VR Rabbids game or the simulator ride. My main point is, the value for money is awesome!

Motobike Racing @ Timezone Garden City

'Im super impressed by this place:

There's no shortage of games
The staff are young and cool (unlike me...ha!)
Most of the equipment looks like it was installed yesterday
They have toilets! (This is a big deal)
Ticket Reward system is realistically priced

Some of these games are HARD WORK! Bust a move on Dance Dance Revolution, throw some hoops or try to get a strike on the mini bowling games.

They even have good music. How hard is it for some places to have good music! I was quietly tapping my leg to the music in the very comfortable lounge chairs they offer for parents who just need to...sit...and breathe.

Timezone unlimited play cards include 300 tickets to spend once the hour is up. Our favourite prizes were Slime, Chupa Chups and Gummi Burgers. The prizes certainly keep the kids quiet on the trip home.

Timezone has various locations. We love the Arcade at Garden City, My Gravatt. This is one of the newest locations - the atmosphere is incredible.

Garden City ZONE Bowling and Laser Tag are also located inside the Timezone Arcade.

Planning a trip to the Gold Coast? Timezone in the Paradise Centre is HUGE!
