Home Made Scones, Tea & Quirky Gifts
Driving through the great Australia's outback heading through Victoria and into New South Wales, you may encounter a sleepy little town called Charlton.

Quaint old fashioned charm and curios

Charlton is approximately 300 km south of Mildura.

One of the things we love about these unique Australian towns is the charm and the quaint appeal of them.

So as we passed through Charlton all it took was one lace curtain and a sign that said "old-fashioned teahouse with scones" for us to do an immediate u-turn and come back to the antiques and tea house.

The welcoming front entrance

It certainly was a lovely little oasis in the middle of the outback with tea served in beautiful teacups with crocheted doilies over the top of the milk.

Handmade slices and scones warmed up and cooked to perfection.

And some beautiful little antique curios to enjoy while you are sipping your tea.

Yummy hand made treats on display

The lovely lady that owned the teahouse is also making some beautiful handmade dolls, which look so realistic you could imagine you are holding a real baby.

Amazingly life like hand made dolls

She showed us how the hair is inserted into the head of the doll, one strand at a time and if you really fell in love, perhaps you could leave the store with your tummies happy and a new baby in your arms.
