I enjoy writing about Adelaide and its many attractions. If you think Adelaide is boring,
the problem is not with Adelaide.

The Hotel Wright Street hosts the Time & Place Art Exhibition
Regular readers will be familiar with my interest in city pubs, and particularly those in the South West Corner. They are almost exclusively little local pubs with a strong sense of community which enjoy a symbiotic relationship with their patrons.
The Hotel Wright Street is one of these pubs, setting the pace for what's on in Adelaide. It supports its own local community and artists by hosting art exhibitions for talented people who may not have access to other galleries in Adelaide.
Recently I found that a photographer whose work I enjoy on Facebook is holding an exhibition at the Hotel Wright Street. Wayne Grivell is a photographer and artist whose work focuses largely on urban and night scenes.
Through a variety photographic techniques Wayne is able to transform locations around Adelaide from the ugly and the mundane into something special, even magical. The results are often quite stunning works of contemporary art..
I'm not going to tell you any more. One can't describe art anyway, it needs to be viewed and interpreted in the mind of the viewer through their own mental lens. But mosey on over to his Facebook page and check out the images on display there. If you like them, then Like the page to get updates.
I think you will find that want to see these brilliant photographs up close. Do it soon at the Hotel Wright St. The Time & Place Exhibition continues until the end of November.
Nice to see Adelaide captured whilst she is asleep. Shame he couldn't capture JM before it gets demolished. Finding so much inspiration from other photographers to make a better photographer myself. Now I just need to save up for some serious equipment :)
