Australian band Art vs Science loaned one-third of their band, to the recent launch of The Tia Room in Melbourne, held at iconic CBD venue The Ding Dong Lounge. Danny McNamee or better known as Danny Mac to fans, accompanied Channel V's charming Danny Clayton to headline the event at what was touted to be a 'never seen before performance.'
For Melburnians accustomed to the usual grit of Chinatown's rock bar, this was an upmarket and fashionable affair, with Melbourne's trendy hipster crowd creating an electric atmosphere. With signature cocktails on arrival, Tia Maria had the crowd covered. Guests were served Tia Espresso Martini, Tia Ginger and Tia Ginger house crafted mixes, as a teaser for the warmer partying nights.
With retro tunes kicking and hors d'oeuvres flowing, this was a brand reinvention with a twist. Securing Melbourne's fashion elite for their summer cocktail launch was a tres chic decision. Both Danny's played to a largely appreciate after-work crowd, with the dance floor and stage-side booths the hot ticket.
The venue was Tia-fied and sultry red lighting backlight the rooms, with Tia Maria bottles, fluro cubes branding the intimate venue. Guests were treated to a 'papping' with roving photographers catching every guest on arrival, every dance floor move and the nights antics.
If you like sweet caffeine, then Tia Maria's new range of drinks may well be your summer thing. It's the perfect conduit to keep you up at night and quench your thirst (all that dancing is hard work. My pick was the Espresso Martini, smooth and just the right kick.
