Hotel buffet breakfasts are all the same, aren't they? In this case, the answer is no. Attention to detail makes this breakfast offering a cut above the rest, and I imagine a mecca for locals wanting a special celebratory brunch.
There are a myriad of choices, many made to order options, and on the weekends, free flowing sparkling wine.
Those with dietary requirements are not left to slim pickings. For the gluten free, it was not just one type of bread, but many as well as pastries and muffins.
I enjoyed succulent Queensland pineapple and some thick creamy yoghurt to start. The pancake was fluffy and cooked to perfection.
I followed that up with sautéed mushrooms and a made to order omelette, though with all the options, it was quite hard to narrow down which ingredients to include. I finished with a sensational berry smoothie.
It's worth noting, for those wanting dinner or lunch that the kitchen has tandoori ovens, wood fired ovens and wok stations, so the international cuisine is made authentically.
The large windows brighten the room and the outlook makes for a pleasant dining experience.
While not the cheapest breakfast option, I think you'll find it worth the price, whatever the occasion. Finding the restraint not to over eat is the hard part!
