A Saturday night out for Thursday
It's Thursday night, you want to go out but you don't know where to go. You're thinking "I just wanna dance to hits, without judgement, preferably LGBTI friendly and there should be Beyonce, lots of Beyonce." Where, oh where, can I go?
Luckily, there is a fantastic place from 9pm at Mr Wow's Emporium. It's got a bar, dance-floor, outside area, pool table and ping pong table.
I went there because I'm friends with one of the organisers of the night. Any hesitance I had for going quickly dissipated when I experienced how fun the night turned out. It really is very hard to find a place where you can dance without eyes judging and I believe this is one of those places. The bar staff are friendly and even the security out front are easy-going. You can even request a song if you ask the DJ nicely.
Why can't every club be like this? The answer is they should. I would suggest getting in early because after 11pm the line outside gets long. They do finish at 1am though but the party continues around the corner on Gertrude St at Alia Bar. Entry to both is free.
