On Thursday evenings during summer, food vans set up on the grass between the Fremantle Sailing Club and the dog beach at South Beach. There's a choice of food from Eat No Evil, Comida do Sul or Juice Palace, in the little retro van.

We've had the vegetarian versions of the mutante and the prato feito from Comida do Sul, nasi goreng and the lentil and hummus wrap from Juice Palace, and the hand crushed potatoes from Eat No Evil, and can recommend them all.

The food vans put out tables and chairs for customers and most people bring their own wine along. If you don't want to buy food from the vans you could bring a rug and picnic and just enjoy the relaxed vibe by the beach. Dogs and kids are welcome too.
